How milestones and payments work
Deposit, balance, and what happens if a project pauses partway.

Projects are billed in milestones rather than one lump sum, so you are never paying in full for work that has not happened yet.
The usual structure
Most projects start with a deposit — typically a third of the total — due before work begins, with the remaining balance split across the milestones agreed in your project scope. A short website might be two milestones; a larger build might be four or five. The exact split is in your original quote and never changes without you agreeing to it first.
If a project pauses partway
You only owe for milestones already delivered. Nothing in a paused project is billed in advance, and resuming later does not reset or forfeit anything already paid — the project simply picks back up where it left off, milestone by milestone.
Payment methods
Invoices can be paid by card or bank transfer; details are on the invoice itself. See reading and downloading an invoice for where to find it.
