AWGCOR Strike: a 5v5 tactical shooter in the browser
A 5v5 bomb-defusal shooter that runs in a browser tab, on PC or phone: three original maps, fourteen weapons modelled in code and bots that plant, hold and retake.
- Measured, not estimated
- Built in house by AWGCOR
- Delivered end to end

The situation
We wanted to show how far a browser tab can go when it is treated like a games console. A tactical shooter is about the hardest test there is: it needs tight input, honest hit registration, a round economy, and opponents that play the objective instead of running at you.
What we did
AWGCOR Strike is a 5v5 bomb-defusal match against bots, written from scratch on three.js. It has three original maps — Kasbah, a sun-baked desert town; Dockyard, a container port at sunset; and Frost, a snowbound mountain village — each with its own lighting, weather and materials. Every round has a buy phase and an economy, a C4 to plant or defuse, and grenades that do their jobs: smokes block sight, flashes blind, fire denies ground.
All fourteen guns are modelled in code, with extruded profiles, bevelled edges, turned barrels, wood grain and worn metal, and the textures and sounds are generated in the browser too. There is not a single model, texture or sound file to download. Recoil follows a spray pattern, taking a hit knocks your aim, and heads, bodies and limbs take different damage, crouching included.
The bots split across the sites, hold angles, rotate through mid, plant, and regroup to retake a planted site behind a flash. Four difficulty levels change their reaction time, aim and spray control.
It plays on PC with mouse and keyboard and on phones with touch controls, across four quality tiers, from a light mode for older laptops to an ultra mode with ambient occlusion. The maps, weapons and code are original work; the game uses no assets from any existing title.
