Drafting a quote with AI

How to turn a one-line description of a job into a priced draft quote with AI, check it and save it, and how to get better drafts.

Describe a job in a sentence and AWGCOR drafts the quote for you — a title, line items with quantities and prices, and notes — using your own past quotes and hourly rate as a guide. Nothing is saved until you have checked it.

Draft a quote

  1. Go to Clients & sales → Quotes and open Draft a quote from one line. It is also at the top of the new quote form.
  2. Under The job, describe the work in a sentence or two: what you will deliver, roughly how big it is, and anything that affects the price. For example: Five-page website for a dental clinic with online booking, copywriting and a year of hosting.
  3. Add the client's name if you know it.
  4. Select Draft it. It takes a few seconds.

The draft opens as a new quote with a note at the top: AI draft — check before you send. If the AI noticed things worth confirming with the client, such as the number of pages or who writes the copy, they are listed there.

Check it, then save

Treat the prices as suggestions. Change any line, add or remove lines, set the discount and tax, and check the valid-until date. Your standard terms are added to the notes. When you are happy, select Create quote; until then nothing is stored.

Getting better drafts

  • Set your hourly rate under Defaults for quotes and time at the bottom of the quotes list. Drafts use it to price the work.
  • The more quotes you save, the better the guide. Your recent quote lines and prices show the AI what you usually charge.
  • Be specific. "A logo" gives a vague draft; "a logo with three concepts, two rounds of changes and brand colours" gives a usable one.

Allowance and privacy

Each draft uses one AI prompt. The free plan includes one AI prompt in total; Pro includes 100 a day. To write the draft, your description, your business name, currency and hourly rate, and a short list of your recent quote lines and prices are sent to the AI model. The client's name is not sent; it is added to the draft afterwards. The draft is shown only to you.

Once the quote is accepted, turn it into an invoice in one click — see writing a quote and turning it into an invoice.
